Perfect for completing a modern decorated space the decorative pieces created by Japanese designer Yukihiro Kaneuchi can be the best option for any room to which you want to add a touch of green – flowers.
The designer describes the collection as follows :
Kenneth Cobonpue has designed the Safari Planters for Hive.
Raised on boxy legs and punctuated with subtle curves, there’s an undeniable character to these planters by Kenneth Cobonpue. The “Safari” has a charm which lies in its understated silhouette that complements any plant set into it. Cast into tall “giraffe” and petite “hedgehog” molds with naturally crushed stones, these planters add a touch of slow-strolling whimsy to any garden setting. The planters come in natural, terracotta, gray and black shades, and range from low small, low large to tall small and tall large sizes.
Simon Dale proves that you don’t have to be an architect to design and build a beautiful, cozy, low-energy home. With £3,000, a few simple tools, and a little help from his father-in-law and friends, Simon constructed an extraordinary hobbit home that has virtually no visual or environmental impact on the surrounding landscape. Using locally-sourced and natural materials taken from the nearby woodlands, a common practice among designers in Wales, alternative energy sources, and a lot of imagination, the self-styled builder has created a gentle, naturally-lit family home that exists in total harmony with nature.
We’ve noticed a surge in hobbit homes as more people throughout the world seek alternatives to the bigger is better model of living. For example, in Switzerland, one family buried their home but opted for more luxurious finishings instead of turning to natural materials as the Dale family has done. The hobbit house’s framing consists of locally-gathered oak thinnings, the retaining walls and foundations were made from stone and mud, and straw bales were used to insulate the floor, walls, and roof.
Designed by Stefano Boeri - architect, academic and former editor of design and architecture magazine Domus - his Bosco Verticale is a towering 27-story structure, currently under construction in Milan, Italy. Once complete, the tower will be home to the world’s first vertical forest.
The Bosco Verticale is a system that optimizes, recuperates, and produces energy. Covered in plant life, the building aids in balancing the microclimate and in filtering the dust particles contained in the urban environment (Milan is one of the most polluted cities in Europe). The diversity of the plants and their characteristics produce humidity, absorb CO2 and dust particles, producing oxygen and protect the building from radiation and acoustic pollution. This not only improves the quality of living spaces, but gives way to dramatic energy savings year round.
No more fires in the forests or in any unarranged places that could harm the forest or the surrounding areas.
There is a great and innovative alternative to making fire on the ground, and this is the Portable Grill.
Click and Grow is an innovative method of taking care of plants the easy way. Based on clean soil-less growing technology and sensors inside, these ingenious pots measure all the necessary parameters and dose an exact amount of water, fertilizer and air, according to the plant’s needs.
The process of plant growth is taken care of by sensors, processor and software in the pot, which measures all the parameters and doses an exact amount of water, fertilizer and air, according to the plant’s needs. The pot is using our own developed soil-less growing technology which takes best from hydroponics and aeroponics, but is expansion of those two. Click& Grow has two parts:
The Andrea Air Purifier is a brilliant partnership between man and plant that accelerates nature’s natural ability to clean air in order to detoxify the atmosphere inside your home. Tres Birds, a design/build architecture firm, created a temporary nature-inspired art installation in downtown Denver, Colorado.
Architecture design and build firm, Tres Birds Workshop from Boulder, CO was recently commissioned to create a large-scale art installation for KEEN’s Recess Revolution Tour encouraging people outside during the workday for daily activity breaks and encouraging adults to re-energize by connecting with nature. KEEN, manufacturer of original hybrid footwear, bags and socks, produced the tour in response to American’s increasingly digital and sedentary lifestyles coupled with growing obesity rates. In Denver, KEEN’s recess event called for a nature-inspired makeover of an office, situated outdoors and for adults to participate in playtime activities, such as tetherball. Tres Birds Workshop was selected by KEEN to creatively concept and physically complete the dynamic 5-part art installation that was erected in the middle of downtown Denver’s business district on the 16th Street Mall.
